And i have to point this out, i thought that KSY and KMJ's appearance as cameo would be a minor because Gong Yoo is way more senior that them.
Each actors/ actresses have their own uniqueness. You can see the rating is not going up and is dropping a liftle afterbthr double digit jump on the 3rd episode. How? Because everything in this drama is amazing and i'm a fan of their OST's.I can't wait see the romance between the second couple. and women who are pregnant, and she looks like a woman to adults. . The chapters link & build on each other. I do hope this drama doesn't become too predictable & boring as I like Gong Yoo & Dong Wook so I'm still hoping it improves. It seems that he as a goblin who was a general is only a decoration to bait me for watching this show.
Anyway, i have thrown all of my expectation for this show and only watch this for it's comedy and nice bromance with the grim reaper.. All characters (even secretary Kim) are mentioned at the end of the eps 16 but i couldn't find him or did i just missed him? Why didnt she remained as a ghost with him? That innocence is interesting in my eyes. I can't wait to see the next episode!!!!! That's really annoyed for me hmn i hope you can change your idea and just focused to main couple. They looked fine.Otherwise, it's not fair for Gong Yoo. I'd like to see the storylines revolve around Goblin & Grim Reaper as I can see so much potential for twists & turns as opposed to the all too predictable storyline where Goblin finds his bride, fall for her then face the dilemma of either choosing to continue being immortal or not 'coz either way his choice would affect the girl. And no doubt for these 4 of lead actor/actress.btw i wanna ask something, why the grim reaper crying when he saw the ring? I would have loved to see a Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin reunion. Plus, Sunny character is vey spunky, very funny, and very sexy. Eun Tak will see the sword, but she decide not to draw it so they can live together. And she appeared as a grandmother in Goeun's mother's eyes because she was pregnant at that time.. One day, Ji Eun-Tak tells him that he is Dokkaebi and she is his bride.
People can't see him if he wear the 'hat'. During all those centuries he could've at least met Reaper sooner, meddled w/ his death list schedule so he'd have a bone to pick w/ Goblin etc...Too bad, there hasn't been a butt-kicking showdown between Goblin & Reaper. Emotions of a rollercoaster ride!
@Kira - thought this was gonna be a dark fantasy w/ Gong Yoo esp after his performance in Train to Busan, he slays those kinda roles. It would not make sense for the Goblin not to know of his bride's existence at a later age, especially given the fact that she can summon him spontaneously at the blow of a candle--either she would not have had blown a candle until she was adult (which is close to impossible), or a significant chunk of the show would be spent on the Goblin waiting for her to grow up before making a move--which would be highly unlikely since it was emphasized in the beginning of the story that he was very eager to put an end to his life, and therefore would in no way be patient enough to wait longer just because of societal norms (remember, he's a 938-year-old deity; the mortal concept of "appropriate dating age" should be highly insignificant to him if it meant ending his life sooner). i felt this girl have potential to be great actress. This type of reception is quite understandable given the fact that the plot was one-of-a-kind even in its own genre, resulting in varying expectations among viewers, especially on a role as important and pivotal to the story as that of the Goblin's bride. Was it because she met a rich, good-looking older man that she decided to act the cute, innocent victim who needed to be saved?
